Welcome to Weld County, Colorado
Weld County covers an area of 4,004 square miles in north central Colorado. It is bordered on the north by Wyoming and Nebraska and on the south by the Denver metropolitan area. The third largest county in Colorado, Weld County has an area greater than that of Rhode Island, Delaware and the District of Columbia combined.

Poudre River Trail
The Poudre River Trail is a 20-mile long trail under construction that will extend from Island Grove Regional Park in Greeley, Colorado to the Weld/Larimer County line along the majestic Cache La Poudre River. The Trail is being built through a cooperative effort between the cities of Greeley and Windsor, and Weld County Colorado.

Trees planted as far back as 1869, spacious lawns and a range of facilities that border the Poudre River have earned Island Grove Regional Park a reputation as one of the most picturesque and versatile events complexes in the nation. Missile Silo Park
Immediately after World War II the Cold War began and the western states became significant aspects of the United States' defense. Due to the fear of a possible third world war, Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Silos were constructed through the west to provide defense against possible attacks. A number of these silos were constructed in Weld County. Missile park is the sight of one of these silos.read more

County Fair
The Weld County Fair is an annual event for the community and for the educational benefit of 4-H, FFA, Boy Scout and Girl Scout members. The fair gives the youth and adults of our county an opportunity to exhibit their skills in agriculture, natural resources, engineering, consumer and family, fine arts, horticulture and family living.
