The current population of Colorado is 4,301,261 and it has an area of 104,185 square miles. Colorado is the only state that lies entirely above 3,000 meters elevation. Denver, the capital of Colorado, is nicknamed the "Mile High City" for it's elevation. Citizens of Colorado are offted called Coloradans.
