The earth is our home and we need to protect it. Learn what you can do to help protect the earth and spread the word to others.

Your Job:  Choose 2 of the following activities to complete by Thursday, April 29, 2010. 

 

1. Find a graphic that represents recycling and create a poster and slogan to display in your school that encourages recycling. 

 

2. After reading information on how to protect the environment, develop a recycling survey and administer to students outside your class, teachers and parents. Collect the data and display it in some sort of a graph or table.

 

3. Come up with a plan for a waste-free lunch. Create a poster to encourage other students at our school to pack a waste-free lunch.

 

4. Create your own quiz for recycling terms and information you learned in Recycle City.  

 

5. Create a piece trash artwork. In other words, recycle material that you might normally throw away to create a masterpiece. 

 

EVERYONE: 

 

COME UP WITH A PLAN OF HOW YOU CAN ENCOURAGE YOUR FAMILY TO START RECYCLING IN A NEW WAY. IMPLEMENT THIS PLAN DILIGENTLY FOR AT LEAST ONE WEEK. WRITE A REPORT ABOUT HOW THIS EFFECTED YOUR FAMILY AND REFLECT ON THE EXPERIENCE. Due - Thursday, April 29, 2010.
